Your support could help build a decent home for a vulnerable HIV affected family living in abject poverty. A solid house provides better security and shelter and provides suitable conditions for proper healthcare. All families are poverty stricken and at least one of their children is HIV infected.
The impact on the families who receive housing is enormous. Many families in Uganda are either renting or have poorly constructed small mud houses unable to withstand the torrential Ugandan rains. Being provided with a house enables the family to have an asset which provides security and stability for the whole family.
By reducing the ingress of dust and dirt the new house will provide optimum conditions for continuing the healthcare provided during the HIV Community Programme. Having such an asset will also enhance this family’s chance of getting a small microfinance loan in the future.
